Recently, Mashable wrote a post on How to use and get the most of Technorati. They have recently updated how you can use their services. I use Technorati to list Heart@Work on their blog service. To get listed, you need to put a code in your blog post, so when they get around to you they can find is code to prove you are the owner of the blog. It’s another Social Media Marketing tool.

The challenge I have had with my other sites is that I have inserted the code, then they’ll come back to tell me that they can’t find it?? The easier thing would be is to give people their badge with the code so it it give them advertising and it’s up all the time.

Otherwise, than my little challenge, they have added a new portal for Bloggers and other social media publishers. It’s a good way to get known, be the talk of the town and known.

The new portal will enable Technorati to fill even more of your ad inventory much more efficiently. If you’re already part of Technorati Media, you don’t need to do anything, you’ll be moved over. If you’re not, and you want to start monetizing your blog, you can sign up here.

As the leading blog search engine and destination designed to showcase and bring consumers to blog content, Technorati’s mission is to help Bloggers succeed. We’ve designed a network to enable blog and social media publishers at every level to maximize online advertising revenues.

Great article, by the way. Do read it. I know you have already got too much to do. Do it anyway!

P.S. Be sure the your blog is turned on for search engines to find you. Techorati asks you to insert a code in a blog post to verify your blog. If it’s not on, they can’t find you.
