Maralyn met me Linkedin, when the Pie Princess (this is me, another life) was promoting Sedona Pies, and they have struck a great friendship.
Maralyn Dennis Hill was born in Chicago, Illinois. She took her first train ride at 2 weeks and became hooked on travel forever. She says she was born to travel and tell the tale. Maralyn enjoys all aspects of food and writes about food, wine and travel together. She views them as a geography lesson.
Hill puts her love of food, wine and travel together with her organizational skills. First, she built a successful advertising/marketing firm, obtained a Masters in Organizational Development, and today is President of the International Food Wine & Travel Writers Association. She also Co-Chairs its Conference and Press Trip Committee.
In addition to writing, she enjoys giving seminars/workshops on journaling, how to write a book, and The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
After co-authoring “Our Love Affairs with Food & Travel” with Brenda Hill (no relation), Maralyn and Brenda joined French Master Chef Hervé Laurent in writing “Cooking Secrets: The Why and How…” in 2008, and then the Hill team wrote 2009 Indie Finalist,”$uccess, Your Path to a Successful Book” (a workbook on how to write a book).
Maralyn would like to meet people interested in having her blog for them, as well as those interested in engaging her write articles on their destinations or conduct workshops. These workshops have been popular at spa destinations or retreats.
She has a desire to get back into public relations/marketing for a few select accounts. That represents the award winning strength in her background.
Hill has hosted, produced and interviewed chefs for a Time Warner Cable show. She has been a presenter at the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference, Rancho La Puerta and Infinity Authors Retreat, in addition to numerous workshops. She now writes travel and food articles and is a frequent judge at food events.

Hi Mari-Lynn, Thank you for the nice feature. It’s amazing what can grow from those we meet online. Our phone conversation today of the virtual assistant assisting me was most helpful. I highly recommend Mari-Lynn’s service to any of you wanting to spend a couple of hours learning what you can do, or having her do it for you, in building your presence online. I already have a high web presence, but I learned so much more.
Thanks again.
