What To Do With Your Lists

Twibes were founded by Adam Loving who had a hard time figuring out what Twitter was all about and started build the Twibes web site. Even though he had gotten over 1 million visitors in 2009, the vast majority of people just used Twibes to meet other people.
Then he got his aha moment, that people wanted more information in how to use Twitter, and started doing Twibe webinars to answer questions about Twitter.
How I see it, you can take your lists that you’ve added people under in your Twitter sidebar, like some of mine are Linkedin connections, Social Media peeps, go to Twibe and form a group so you have the opportunity to get to know each other more intimately. Of course you can join other Twibe groups that have already formed.
Currently there are over 20,000 groups on Twibes with all sorts of topics, entrepreneurs, small biz owners, social media, marketing, app developers – just do a search until you find a group that you would like to be friends with.
What can you do with Twibe Groups?
1. You can communicate with your Twibe via IM, instant messaging
2. Follow discussion threads and reply to, it makes it easier for you to join the discussion
3. Write longer Tweets. if you write a tweet longer than 140 characters Twibes will append a link back to the full tweet. Watch the demo.
4. Get Listed, by being on Twitter lists this will increase your credibility. You can list up to 10 keywords that describe you.
5. Get more followers by getting ranked, you are ranked by the most mentioned and for the most followed, more so when you participate in conversations, (replying to people), your rank will increase.
Happy Twibing and Tweeting!
