What makes us want to promote and help others in our local community? I haven’t figured that one out yet, some people just don’t get it.
It just seems that we are too busy with too many apps, websites we all use, various services that are available. Friends and connections change. We just get busy in our own little lives. And then.. it’s now what?
I discovered the local online business group and I thought great.. something that could work well for me as I am spending more time doing local face to face networking. One of the many things they have do have is an opportunity to promote your events, specials etc on their upcoming local newspaper. Of which I like. Here’s a copy of it, hot off the press.

For whatever reason not too many people seem to know about it. I’ve wondered why that is. You can ask questions like what Quora’s platform is
or what LinkedIn used to have. You can invite your friends to join you, even import your LinkedIn connections. If you are outside the USA, sorry you can’t join. Join me if you would like. Test it out. Give it a run. The owners are active on the site. I suggested that we have a local business networking meeting, they (the owners said they would help provide some promoting to it.) We’ll see how it goes. I’ve been personally been too active volunteering and something will have to go soon.
Remember just take your time, test out groups to see if they will work for you or not..Marketing is like this test, test, test.
