Who do you believe you are?

Who do you believe you are, is about taking a look at “How present your past is.”  Now is a good time about taking a look at what we believe to be true.

What’s stopping us from moving forward in getting what we want?

I’m not perfect, I screw up – I have to remind myself as I keep moving forward and forgiving myself. Getting depressed or angry at myself that I have failed or disappointed someone else isn’t the way to go.

When we find unhelpful beliefs, we can’t ever be certain that any of our beliefs are true. The best we can do is strive to weed out any false beliefs and adopt new beliefs that empower us to move forward.

If your beliefs are disempowering, where you can’t move forward, or you feel you are struggling all the time. Or you ask yourself who do you believe you are? Here are some other beliefs most people hang on to, or not working for them, they believe:

– My opinion is all that matters
– I am bad for having boundaries
– My wants are not important
– I am responsible for others or myself
– I am not good enough
– I must keep other people happy
– I am not responsible for my life
– Saying ‘no’ to people is bad

What problem or beliefs do you have are holding you back? What is it about yourself that it has or is creating a problem for you?

Often what happens is people get depressed/angry about what’s not working or happening in their life. They just don’t feel like themselves.

Many years ago, I found myself severely depressed, I finally found a psychologist, that was able to help me to break-through why I was getting depressed, it took awhile..I can say now if I get depressed I take the time to be kinder to myself. I know now who I am

What is depression?

Depression is a common mental health condition that’s characterized by feelings of intense sadness, hopelessness, and guilt. Your feelings of depression can lead to negative thoughts and self-talk as well as out-of-character and potentially harmful behaviors.

Depression causes a variety of symptoms including:

  • Sadness and a depressed mood
  • Lost interest in work, hobbies, and relationships
  • Changes in appetite
  • Increased or decreased sleep
  • Poor concentration and decision-making
  • Suicidal thoughts

If you think everyone is better than you, then you may well feel small and unimportant.

If you consider that the world only wants to take from you, you will become cynical, locked in a prism of seeing the world and its people in a negative way.

I also believe in getting help if you find yourself depressed, or you are unkind to yourself and others.

Because I have been bullied, depressed and not happy many times in my life I understand where you may be at. I can be empathic and compassionate to what’s happening  in your life currently.

If you are seeking some changes in your life I am accepting new clients. I use a combination of Hypnotherapy and CBT as treatment for the initial appointment and spend time hearing from you what’s going on for you.

The initial fee is $95.00 – if that’s not in your budget we can work out something, kick start fees.

Here’s a testimonial for your consideration..

My education is in physics, and I’ve worked as a technical professional for many years, so I tend to rely heavily on fact, logic and reason. Unfortunately that sometimes makes it difficult for me to tap into my intuition. There are many things that science cannot yet fully explain, but that are known to be true. The power of our minds to impact our reality is one of them. Mari-Lyn’s hypnotherapy session was a powerful way to ‘reset’ my brain. She helped me question unexamined assumptions and beliefs, and this has enabled me to make better choices in my life.” – Kimberly Wiefling, Author, Keynote Speaker, Consultant, Coach
