The Dale Carnegie Course is a program for businesses based on Carnegie’s teachings used worldwide. It was founded in 1912 and is represented in more than 75 countries. More than 8 million people have completed Dale Carnegie Training.

The course comprise a proprietary process that uses team dynamics and intra-group activities to strengthen interpersonal relations, manage stress and handle fast-changing workplace conditions. Other subjects included are communication, creative problem-solving and focused leadership.

The course is based on a five-phase continuous improvement cycle:
1. Build Greater Self-Confidence
2. Strengthen People Skills
3. Enhance Communication Skills
4. Develop Leadership Skills
5. Improve Our Attitude

I personally took the Dale Carnegie series of courses. I would have to say it improved my life greatly and would highly recommend it to anyone who truly wants to improve their life and make a difference in the world.

You see, I was rather shy, I would of rathered looked on the floor than look someone in the eye and of course I was too shy to speak up too! The course really helped me to improved on how to relate with people. If you spoke to me today face to face, you would not think that I was shy at all.

Back when I had just started a position where it meant that I had to speak to people, most often they couldn’t hear me because I was mumbling. My dad suggested that I take this course, as he said, “He had that same problem of being shy“. Certainly, he was a guy that I never thought he was a shy person.

I came across this mind map of how Dale Carnegie’s book can help you even today while you are establishing relationships online, so I thought I would share it with you.

There are many courses that one can take now to improve oneself, Dale Carnegie was my 1st experiential one.

I encourage you if you need help, because your are shy, or you just want to learn how to be a better speaker, I highly recommend their courses.
