It’s the Little Things..

It’s the little things that will set you apart to be remembered and people who are willing to help you. Think about the things you value.

It’s just like our relationships we have, it’s the little things that we can do to show that we care, listen, share and be kinder.  Send out your customer a Thank you card.

Here’s a heart-warming message..
A few of us girls got together yesterday for a swim (well, I joined for a break), PJ and I were talking; B & R were talking with each other..their backs were turned in front of me..I didn’t think anything of it.. they’re just talking. About 30 minutes later R came over to me to apologize for turning her back to me, while she was talking to B. I really felt her heart apologizing to me.

Imagine what a little message like this can do for you in your business. As it is always about relationships – how you relate to people that count. That’s why I say it’s the little things that you can do to make everything work better.

  • P- Performance – what does great look like?
  • E- Efficacy – what is blocking their power to get to that great?
  • O – Ownership – what are they truly accountable for? Responsible for and who do they need to be responsive to when it comes to their business/greatness?
  • P- Possibilities – what is possible for them when they get there?
  • L – Linkage – how do they align everything they are doing (their greatness) to their values, their goals and
  • E – Evidence – how will they know they are there.

I created a Podcast series about helping you to create a happier and healthier workplace culture.  It started out as a Virtual Conference, what happened was the people who came on the calls weren’t ready to promote it. I decided just to have a pre-launch instead. Currently, there are 10 early adopters who said yes! By tagging each other on the posts there is momentum happening because of this more people now want to be a part of it.

What are your values?

A personal or cultural value is an individual’s assumptions of ethical value that can form basis for action. A principle value is a foundation upon which other values and measures of integrity are based. As such, values reflect a person’s sense of right and wrong or what “ought” to be. “Equal rights for all”, “Excellence deserves admiration”, and “People should be treated with respect and dignity” are representative of values. Values tend to influence attitudes and behavior.”

Here’s how to start:

1. Create a vision statement for yourself
2. What are your values – what is important to you
3. What do you want people to feel or experience with you
4. What feedback do you get back from your customers – what do they say about your services or products?
5. What are there BIG things you can do now?
