Swoon Worthy Fashions with swap society, Nicole Robertson is the Founder of an online clothing swap for women & kids. It’s really big problem of fashion waste and pollution.
This is created by the fashion industry inhumane labor conditions and for me personally. I didn’t want to be a part of that system anymore and so I had started swapping in my clothes.
* Thrift shops isn’t really a great solution either because less than 20% of what gets donated to charity shops ever gets resold. They end up in the dump.
* XR boycott fashion and they’re trying to get people to boycott fashion for a whole year the hashtag #XR 52 and just to really draw some attention to the fact that what we wear really has a connection to the global climate crisis.
* The fashion industry puts more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than all international flights and maritime shipping combined.
* Also the industry itself is the #2 Polluter after agriculture.

How it works:
Our team carefully inspects each item received, then photographs and lists each accepted item, and our proprietary algorithm assigns a point total. Points are based on a few key metrics including desirability, seasonality, condition, inventory and retail value. We review your clothes, our algorithm assigns points to accepted items and we email your point total. You can also view your points by logging in to your account.
Unaccepted items:
Unaccepted items are upcycled by sustainable fashion brands MeWe Clothing and ELLERALI or donated to charity, including Downtown Women’s Center (DWC). DWC is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women. They envision a Los Angeles with every woman housed and on a path to personal stability. Their mission is to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, and advocacy.
