A Winding Road home is about the journey that life takes us on, I’ve never experienced a direct or straight line to get anywhere, have you?
Many times I find myself back at the beginning or a variation of it.
A message of Mark 5.. talks about we only need to believe. “Do not fear, only believe” verse 37.
How often is it that we resist change, or going in a new direction? Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we never thought we would be in, or we shunned people because of their situations. We turned a blind eye to it. Now we find ourselves there.
In this chapter, Jesus gives a healing to a young girl..she was a daughter of a synagogue ruler. They begged Jesus for a healing. (story is longer) He did, however the conditions were the parents were not allowed to talk or share this with anyone. Why?
Another Winding Road home, that has taken me on, is starting my business about Kindness, it all started on September 11, the towers went down. God, said after this the world will need more kindness. True.. we are still here over 20 years ago. Why? People quite often I find, they like to blame situations and government for the problems, this may be true there are some, overall we need to change ourselves to be kinder or compassionate.
However, each of us has an opportunity to step out of this mind frame and become kinder to ourselves and others. It really begins with ourselves, 1st. Don’t you think?
A Winding road home may lead you to places you don’t want to go. For example I’ve been a member of a grass roots organization, they brought me on to really just have a quorum in their meetings. I’ve discovered in doing my Advocacy work, that they are really just a voting arm for another org. Quite often I find myself in odds as I don’t believe in many of the bills they want votes for. In order for them to grow have more presence they need to be willing to have marketing materials.. 2x now I have been thrown into situations with no directions nor signage to make a presence. Why all the resistance?
Finding Winding road home are new directions, or lessons we are here on earth to learn. Navigating life’s journey can be like traveling down winding roads, full of unexpected turns and surprises. Finding these winding road homes, can lead us to new directions and teach us valuable lessons along the way. Each twist and turn presents an opportunity for growth and self-discovery as we navigate the path ahead.

Many times, it’s learning about speaking up for oneself, letting go, surrendering what’s in front of us, that is no longer working for us. Many things to think about. Certainly, as we age we think about what do we want to have in our life or not. Even the people in our lives do we want them around?
