I asked a question? Esp #5

I asked a question?  What is a good neighbor and do you consider yourself a good one? It’s important as I struck a cord about good neighbors.

Of course they want to be on my podcast show, not about neighbors really, about they want to share what they are up to, and their businesses.

So I have this slightly embarrassing habit of judging people by how they handle the small stuff. The neighbor who borrows your ladder and returns it before you ask. The colleague who says “actually, I disagree” instead of stewing in silence. That whole dynamic came up in a recent episode of yours, the one on what makes a good neighbor, and it stuck with me because it’s exactly the territory I keep finding myself in.  By Goldberg..

Your question in a recent episode really stuck with me: “What’s a good neighbor?” It got me thinking about how often we overlook the quiet contributors in any community, whether that’s a neighborhood or a workplace full of talented people who simply don’t shout the loudest. The same dynamics that make someone a “good neighbor”, showing up consistently, listening deeply, creating belonging, are exactly what introverted leaders bring to teams and communities. But our systems often reward noise over substance. Just from, I asked this question? I got several replies.

In a recent episode you asked what makes a good neighbor, and honestly, that question gets at the heart of Dr. Price-Linden’s work too. She builds systems where neurodivergent people don’t just survive institutions but actually belong in them, from schools to workplaces to the communities you’re mapping.

There is a guy who considers himself a podcast agent, and invites people to my show.. one guy I called to see how he would fit, he was not happy that this guy is representing him without his permission.

With some thoughts, what do you think a good neighbor is? Please l eave your comments below.
